Miscarriage Zone

It would seem odd to be welcoming you to a Zone where, in all probability, you'd rather not be.  Nobody really wants a miscarriage.  Miscarriages bring pain, bewilderment, grief and lots of questions - why me, was it something I did wrong, or just plain why?

Conservative estimates put the proportion of pregnancies ending in miscarriage at 1 in 4, so it happens to a lot of couples, but only 1% of couples will experience what's known as recurrent miscarriage, which is 3 or more successive miscarriages.  For the rest, the prognosis is good.

The vast majority of couples will try to conceive again, and that in itself brings its own questions, as well as concerns arising from their experience of the miscarriage - is the spotting implantation bleeding or another miscarriage?  When will I ovulate after miscarriage?  When should I start trying again after my miscarriage?  These are all perfectly normal questions.  With this Zone, we hope you'll find some of the answers you're looking for on your journey to a baby of your own.
